Editorial policy
Lively Spotlight aims to publish clear, useful writing about gatherings and hosting. We explain the basis of our advice, distinguish general suggestions from matters that depend on individual circumstances, and correct the record when we get something wrong.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual claims against suitable sources before publication and take care not to present an opinion as an established fact. Articles should explain their terms, give readers enough context to follow the reasoning and avoid claims that cannot be supported. When a topic varies by place or circumstance, we say so rather than implying one approach applies everywhere.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader's interest in the subject, not to secure a commercial mention. A partner or advertiser does not receive control over our independent editorial choices. Any material arrangement that could affect how content is presented will be disclosed clearly.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, they can contact us with the article title, the passage in question and any helpful context. We review correction requests and update material when a change is warranted. Significant changes are made clear to readers rather than quietly obscured.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, gifted or partner-supported material is labelled so readers can recognise its relationship to a collaboration. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence; where used, they are illustrative rather than evidence of a real event, place or person.
